12 tips that may help students to get through this important exam:
1. Do not
make any plan for studying in a hurry. Think deeply about the important topics
and revise it carefully. Students must prepare for JEE (Main) with an eye on
JEE(Advance).
2. Make a
subject-wise check list to revise or to practice it as many times as you can
before the exam.
3. Students
may confront with a few questions, which are related to practical, in
JEE(Main). Students who have done practical in their schools will easily solve
them. So, it is beneficial for them to refer lab manual or practical notebook
to refresh the memory.
5. Go
through a full length test paper every alternate day i.e. a minimum of 2-3
question papers before JEE Main 2018. It is utmost necessary for IIT aspirants
to ensure the analysis of their attempts, the hits and the misses and the
reason for the misses. If they are writing paper based JEE Main, attempt paper
based test and if they are going to appear online, then your practice must be
in online form. Those of you, who will be appearing JEE Main in online form, do
make sure you solve offline
6. If there is any question that the
students find them difficult to solve, they must not get nervous. Rather, to
regain confidence they must try representative questions. Even then they are
unable to solve, they must move ahead and don’t get upset with it.
8. If the
students have not been able to revise Class 11 syllabus between November 2018
and January 2018, then they must devote one or two days to do a quick revision
of Class 11 syllabus as almost 40-45 per cent questions will be asked from that
portion. Revisit your revision notes for a quick recapitulation of concepts,
formula, fact based information and definition etc
9. Last 72
hours before JEE Main must be kept as light as possible.
10. Sleep
well and devote five to six hours of study daily. Avoid late night studies.
Keep a watch on your diet and have your food on time
11. Engage
in light free hand exercise and relax for some time
12. Get your
exam kit ready well in advance viz JEE Main admit card, Aadhar card etc. Check
your exam centre location, address, landmark, route well before time. If
possible, ask anyone in your family to pay a visit one day in advance to gain
familiarity with exam centre route/location
It is time
to keep be cool and give your best on the day of JEE Main. Wish you all the
best of luck!
